IECRM Member Forum: Pinnacol Assurance / Workers Compensation and the Skilled Workers and Trades Fund

Please join IECRM and our industry partner, Pinnacol Assurance, for our May Member Forum. Pinnacol will provide updates on Workers Compensation impacts from recent Colorado legislative actions, and, along with Colorado Succeeds, will discuss the proposed Skilled Workers and Trades Fund. This is a ballot initiative in the upcoming election aimed at expanding access to affordable workforce training in critical occupations across Colorado. If approved by voters, this measure would provide tuition-free or low-cost training opportunities for 5,000 Coloradans each year in areas such as first response, healthcare, skilled trades, and education. The proposed funding structure is an effort to generate annual revenue from the separation of Pinnacol Assurance from the state, thereby ending government subsidies. This initiative aims to address workforce shortages and support economic growth without raising taxes.
