2026 IEC Clay Shoot

Trade the jobsite for the shooting range and see which crew has the best shot!

Grab three coworkers, customers, suppliers, or industry friends and put together your team of four for the 2026 IEC Clay Shoot on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Blackhawk Valley Hunting Preserve in Old Monroe, Missouri.

This isn’t just about hitting clays. It’s a chance to get out of the office and off the jobsite, build some friendly competition, strengthen relationships, and spend the morning with others in the electrical industry.

Teams of four will make their way through a 14-station automated sporting clay course, competing for bragging rights—and some serious prizes.

Event Schedule

8:00–8:30 AM – Check-In
8:30 AM – Training & Safety Talk
9:00 AM – Competition Begins
11:30 AM – Lunch & Awards

Team Registration – $400

Registration is for a team of four shooters.

Register by September 4 to guarantee catered lunch and ammunition for all four shooters. Don't wait until the last minute to get your crew on the course!

Prizes & Bragging Rights

Top Team – $800 Prize
Think your crew can outshoot the competition? The team with the highest overall score takes home $800—and IEC bragging rights until next year.

Top IEC Apprentice – $600 Scholarship
The highest-scoring current IEC apprentice will receive a $600 scholarship applied toward Spring Semester 2027 tuition.

You don’t have to be an expert shooter to join us. Whether you shoot regularly or haven’t picked up a shotgun in years, the Clay Shoot is about competition, camaraderie, team building, and having a good time with the IEC community.

The event is open to the public, so customers, vendors, friends, and other industry partners are welcome to put together a team.

Blackhawk Valley Hunting Preserve

A 14-station, all automated sporting clay course, around a scenic lake which simulates and provides experience for all shotgun hunting situations, from waterfowl to upland birds to rabbits. Blackhawk does allow participants to use golf carts and ATV/UTVs on the course.
