IEC Colorado Chapters Virtual Hill Day with US Senate & US Congressional Offices

On behalf of the Government Relations Committee, Colorado electrical contractor members and industry partners, we look forward to hosting the second annual Virtual Hill Day with Colorado US Senate and US House of Representative members. All three Colorado Chapters are working together to host the Colorado Congressional Delegation via this online event. We appreciate the opportunity to meet with our elected leaders and staff to discuss the important national business and policy issues facing electrical contractors in the State of Colorado; specifically related to the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act and the Fair and Open Competition Act (FOCA). More specific topics, bill numbers and a list of confirmed attendees will be provided in advance of the scheduled call. A zoom link will be provided upon acceptance of the invite.

Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) is a trade association representing the electrical contracting and renewable energy industry and a four-year apprenticeship training program that prepares the next generation electrician for Journeyworker licensure. Our more than 300 member companies in Colorado include commercial, industrial, residential, solar, and low voltage contractors as well as vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and other general business services that support the construction industry. In addition to providing electrical training to more than 2200 apprentices statewide, we offer continuing education and safety training for licensed electricians and other professionals. IEC provides the largest US DOL Registered Apprenticeship program in Colorado across all industries and serves the largest number of IEC electrical apprentices in the U.S.
