Are You WIRED to Become an Electrician?  Apply today for AMPLIFY, a 3-week Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program, to see if a career as an electrician is the right path for you. The program is taught by industry professionals and is designed for individuals to “test-drive” the electrical trade. It is the best way to jump-start your new career as an electrician!

This pre-apprenticeship program is valued at $450 but can be FREE with grant funding through the Adams County Workforce Center. The deadline to apply for the grant funding is May 6th. After you register, an Adams County Workforce Center representative will call you to collect information needed for the grant funding as well as any other grant money you are eligible to receive.

AMPLIFY classes begin Monday, May 20th, and meet Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for three weeks with a special graduation celebration and early access to the IECRM Electrical Career Fair on Thursday, June 6th. The schedule for AMPLIFY can be seen above.

During the AMPLIFY program, participants will:

• Learn the basics of electricity
• Explore residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work
• Become familiar with the tools, materials, and language used on job sites
• Get hands-on training in basic circuitry
• Receive training and certification in:
  • OSHA-10 Workplace Safety
  • CPR, First-Aid & AED
• Receive coaching on interviewing and resume writing
• Discover the dozens of different electrical career paths

Participants who complete the AMPLIFY program will:

• Receive a certificate of completion during a graduation celebration and reception
• Receive certification in OSHA 10 and CPR, First-Aid, and AED training
• Gain early access to the IECRM Electrical Career Fair with more than a dozen electrical contractors looking to hire
