Basic Electrical Circuits:

  • Ohm's Law
  • Electrical circuit, power source (DC, AC)
  • Series circuit calculations (Relationships between current, voltage, resistance, power)
    • Voltage Drop
  • Parallel circuit calculations
  • Circuit resistance
  • Combination circuit calculations

What to bring: Please be sure to have a calculator and your code book.

This course can be taken as an apprenticeship class make-up opportunity.

Participants will earn 4 continuing education units (CEUs) upon successful completion of this course. All of IECRM’s continuing education courses meet the criteria of the Colorado State Electrical Board, and are approved by the states of Alaska, New Mexico, and Wyoming as well as the International Code Council (ICC) for CEU credit.
