Motor Controls II Course
Course Description
Motor Controls II is the second of a two part series of courses covering electrical motor control theory, components and systems, control logic, field applications and troubleshooting.
Topics include:
- Forward and Reversing motor Starters
- Timing relays
- Photoelectric Sensors and Proximity Switches
- Motor Starting methods including soft starting methods and Variable Frequency Drives.
Pre-Requisites
- IEC Member or employee of an IEC Member
- 10,000 hours job-related field experience in the electrical trade
- Successful completion of the Motor Controls I course or:
- Competency in the use of portable electrical measuring devices - Possession of a thorough understanding of ground theory, three phase AC circuit principles, single phase transformer operation.

Registration deadline is April 8, 2025. No show = no reimbursement. A minimum of 8 reservations is required to hold the course. Class size is limited to 20 people.
