This NEC short course is designed to for solar installers and others who are responsible for code compliance on solar PV projects.  Much of the content is focused on article 690, which is dedicated to photovoltaics, but other articles are also included, such as those which cover interconnection, wiring methods and grounding.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Jeff Gilbert is the President and owner of Azimuth Solar LLC where he provides solar training, consulting and inspection services.  He brings over 28 years of experience in solar and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.  Jeff owned and operated a solar contracting business, Chesapeake Solar, for eight years starting in 2000.  His company was listed on Inc. Magazine’s 500 fastest-growing small companies in 2007, and in 2008 the company was acquired by groSolar, one of the nation’s leading solar energy companies at the time. Jeff has also received both the NABCEP PV Installer certification and NABCEP Solar Thermal Installer Certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners.
