Course Description

Motor Controls 1 is six-week course covering electrical motor control theory, components and systems, control logic, field applications and troubleshooting.


Pre-Requisites

  • IEC Member or employee of an IEC Member
  • 10,000 hours job-related field experience in the electrical trade 
  •  Successful completion of the TH-100 course, competency in the use of a calculator, or competency in basic mathematical skills.  Successful completion of the TH-200 course or:  
  • Competency in the use of portable electrical measuring devices  - Possession of a thorough understanding of ground theory, three phase AC circuit principles, single phase transformer operation.

Registration deadline is December 30th, 2025. No show = no reimbursement. A minimum of 10 reservations is required to hold the course. Class size is limited to 20 people.
