Adults in the construction industry have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease compared to other industries based on lifestyle factors.  Some construction workplace facts:

·  25% of construction workers are obese

· 25% use tobacco

· 50% don’t get enough exercise

· 25% have high blood pressure

Hard hats with Heart is the American Heart Association’s nationwide movement to build a path to end heart disease and stroke and to increase wellness among those in the construction trades.
