Are You WIRED to Become an Electrician?  Apply today for AMPLIFY, a 3-week Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program, to see if a career as an electrician is the right path for you. The program is taught by industry professionals and is designed for individuals to “test-drive” the electrical trade. It is the best way to jump-start your new career as an electrician!  

AMPLIFY classes begin Monday, March 23, and meet Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for three weeks, with a special completion celebration and early access to the IECRM Electrical Career Fair on Thursday, April 9. The schedule for AMPLIFY is shown above.

Some participants may qualify for grant funding through the Adams County Workforce Center. After registering, if you answer "Yes" to the question, "Would you like to be contacted by a workforce center to potentially qualify for grant funding?" an Adams County Workforce Center representative will contact you to gather the necessary information for grant funding and determine eligibility for any additional grants.

During the AMPLIFY program, participants will:

• Learn the basics of electricity
• Explore residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work
• Become familiar with the tools, materials, and language used on job sites
• Get hands-on training in basic circuitry
• Receive training and certification in:
  • OSHA-10 Workplace Safety
  • CPR, First-Aid & AED
• Receive coaching on interviewing and resume writing
• Discover the dozens of different electrical career paths

Participants who complete the AMPLIFY program will:

• Receive a certificate of completion during a completion celebration and reception
• Receive certification in OSHA 10, CPR, First-Aid, and AED training
• Gain early access to the IECRM Electrical Career Fair with electrical contractor members looking to hire
