Course Description: This course gives an in-depth examination of fall-related topics and discusses the Competent Persons' responsibilities. This intermediate-level course is designed for leaders who are also assigned as the company's competent person. This training offers more detailed coverage of the Fall Protection standard, including hands-on interactive activities. Individuals taking this class will be able to demonstrate a competent person-level of knowledge of fall protection systems.

Fall Protection- Competent Training Learning Outcomes:

Ability to recognize fall hazards and regulatory trigger heights
Knowledge of OSHA Fall protection standards and CP responsibilities
Hierarchy of fall protection, passive and active fall protection systems
Intermediate knowledge of anchors, body harnesses, and connecting devices
Hands-on donning of common fall protection equipment
Hands-on CP inspection of common fall protection equipment
Ability to calculate fall clearances
Fall rescue planning and rescue systems
